At Employ Recruitment UK Ltd, our LGV drivers are the life blood of our business. We recognise that without quality drivers we simply cannot exist hence the reason we take the process of recruitment very seriously. We also know that “Agency drivers” are often viewed as below par and our aim is to dispel this myth.
Every driver who works with us must be DCPC qualified and 100% compliant with WTD and EU Driving Hours legislation. On top of this they must have the ability to pass the rigorous industry leading driving and workplace assessments many of our clients now undertake. Our aim is to prepare our drivers to meet the highest demands of our world class customers.
The first thing we will do is ensure the driver is qualified to undertake the work we have for them. This will involve a full licence check with the DVLA to confirm the class of entitlement, the pass dates for the relevant classes, the expiry dates and importantly to check for any endorsements or restrictions on the licence.
The next stage will be to check the drivers Right to Work in the UK and provide proof of address, details of work experience and references.
Finally before being assigned work with one of our clients, our drivers will have to pass our Industry leading tests and training assessments including Drivers Hours, WTD, Health and Safety, Vehicle Safety and Speed Awareness.
We are committed to the continued personal development of all of our staff and regularly run seminars and driver training programmes to ensure that all of our HGV drivers are fully CPC compliant and stay abreast of any changes in legislation.
