RECRUITMENT company Employ Recruitment UK are putting their staff on the road to healthy living.
The Ashbourne based logistics specialist, who provide temporary truck drivers to clients including Sainsbury’s, DHL and Marston’s brewery, hope to improve workplace health by supplying weekly organic fruitboxes and nutrition training courses.
While truck driving is usually associated with bacon baps from roadside cafes, staff based at their headquarters are being encouraged to
transform their diet, and make exercise and healthy eating part of their daily routine.
As part of their healthy living ethos, the company now has boxes of seasonal fruit supplied by organic food delivery company www.abelandcole.co.uk every week, which staff are welcome to help themselves to during their working day.
Sadie Weston, Managing Direct at Employ Recruitment UK said: “I genuinely believe that good nutrition is the basis of a healthy, happy lifestyle, and it’s very important for the team to grab a healthy snack full of vitamins and minerals in what can be a pressurised environment.”
In addition, the company has organised a series of one day nutrition training days to be held at their Ashbourne training suite supplied by www.leanmansystem.com. The seven hour session aims to give their staff a clear idea of what healthy eating involves and how they can achieve a healthy diet.
