Unlike most agencies we do not continue running drivers that have previously been unsafe, unreliable or who have shown signs of a poor attitude. We feel that this has strengthened our existing contracts, as clients are not let down. Employ upholds a very fair “3 Strikes and you’re out” system. Strikes are weighted on how severe the reason for the strike is into categories of high, medium and low strikes. Dismissal will arise after:- 1x High Strike, 2x Medium Strikes or 3x Low strikes. Examples would be: Accident causing serious damage to vehicle=High Strike, Late Tachograph Return=Low Strike.

Employ offer driver negligence insurance to the value of £10,000 meaning that if our driver is to cause damage to the value of £10,000 Employ will pay you £9,500 for damage to your vehicle (if our driver is found to be negligent – this does not cover 3rd Party Damage). As this is our responsibility we operate a quality over quantity approach to our selection process to reduce the number of accidents meaning you do not constantly have vehicles off the road allowing you to run at maximum resource.

Our drivers are provided with a client induction pack outlining all of the client’s requirements and instructions. This means that when a driver comes to you for the first time they will already be familiar with your policies and procedures and can start work straight away. Employ are happy to work closely with you to make such a pack, should you not currently have one in use.
We are also happy to send our drivers to you for assessment. This gives you the opportunity to see their abilities before you send them out in your vehicles unsupervised.

Tachograph Returns
Tachographs are sent to companies on a weekly basis. Our real-time management software system incorporates full Tachograph tracking management and infringement reporting alerts us when a chart becomes overdue. At this point a dedicated member of staff sends a text and a letter to the relevant driver as a reminder. If the chart is still overdue the following week contact is made with the driver by phone and a final warning letter is sent with a disclaimer enclosed for the driver to return to Employ.
If by the following week, that Tachograph/disclaimer has still not arrived, we then inform VOSA on a monthly basis of the charts that are outstanding. We feel that our Tachograph system goes above and beyond the call of duty, therefore protecting our clients and ourselves. Each individual chart is photocopied and a copy is kept for two years. A member of staff is solely dedicated to the collection and return of the Tachographs.
Daily contact is made from Employ to both companies and drivers to ensure complete satisfaction and establish requirements. We personally like to visit companies regularly to return Tachographs and maintain customer relations.

Employ are proud to say that we are the only Driving Agency in the midlands using tailored real-time management software. Our real-time management software enables Employ to ensure that all our activity is in compliance with any constraints set down under relevant legislation like the Working Time Directive and EU Drivers Hours. It requires our drivers to send a text message via their mobile phone after each shift with their exact Start time, Finish time, Drive time, Break time, POA time and Other work. All bookings for drivers are entered directly onto the system, which then provides us with a list of qualified and legal drivers available to work.
We hope that this will bring even more peace of mind to our Clients knowing that the legislation always comes first at Employ.
