EMPLOY Recruitment UK is to increase its workforce after announcing company turnover rose by a staggering 45% this year and is set to rise to over £6 million in 2014.
Growth at the Ashbourne-based business reflects a national upturn in the sector, where logistics is currently the fourth largest area of the UK economy with a turnover of £75 billion.
Set up 10 years ago by managing director Sadie Alcock, Employ Recruitment UK has grown to 14 staff and has over 150 drivers supplying drivers to 36 customers including Marstons Brewery, Sainsbury’s, DHL, Biffa and Brit European.
Now the leading midlands logistics recruitment company is looking to employ a resource manager, an operations manager and a contract manager as it prepares to expand even further.
Sadie said: “I began by operating from a rented office with one member of staff and from there the business has just grown and grown beyond all expectation.
“That’s why we now need these additional staff at our head office to help take us forwards so we can keep bringing new clients and drivers on board.

Charlotte Keeling, business development manager at Employ Recruitment UK, started with the company in 2011 and was promoted from Contract Manager to her current role within 12 months.
