Training for new drivers: spread the word!

As a valued driver for Employ, you will be aware of the great clients we work with and the many opportunities they offer, both for temporary and permanent work. Why not share this with your family and friends?

What you might not know is that some of our clients will take on newly qualified drivers and with this in mind, we have teamed up with a training provider, HGV Work Ltd, who offer full, low-cost training from Car Licence to Class One LGV, or upgrades from C Licence to C+E. This can cost from as little as £1370.00 including VAT.

They offer an hour’s assessment drive for just £60 which will help determine how many days training will be needed, and this cost will be deducted when the training is booked. Earnings for a C+E driver are now regularly advertised in excess of £40k, so any investment in training may be paid back quickly in addition to the high potential lifetime earnings prospects; we can start by offering them good quality, work immediately.

What drivers need to know about the training
Drivers will need to attend any assessment with a Provisional LGV licence which will mean completing and passing a medical, as well as taking and passing the LGV Theory & Hazard Perception tests.

The Module 4 CPC exam will need to be taken after passing the Practical driving test.

Costs licence classes (any)

  • 2 days training £1370
  • 3 days training £1970
  • 4 days training £2470 (These fees include test fees for a practical driving test and off-road test.)
  • Mod 4 CPC £300

If you know someone who is interested, please ask them to contact gemma.broster@eruk.co.uk.
