Compliance

At Employ Recruitment, our core value is compliance and this is shown in everything we do. From investing in software to ensure 100% compliance when placing drivers on shifts to creating driver awareness campaigns, we’re continually developing our processes to be the most compliant we can be. Below we explain five ways in which we go above and beyond to ensure compliance across all areas of the business.

  1. Driver Awareness campaigns

Our company values include to Drive and embrace change, and to Grow and learn daily. These values are extended to our drivers, and this is embedded within our driver awareness campaigns. Providing our drivers with information to better their wellbeing, and therefore improve performance when on shift and decrease the likelihood of an accident, is just one of the ways we go above and beyond.  Our recent driver wellbeing campaign focused on areas such as fatigue, speed awareness, stress management, and physical health. We communicate with our drivers via videos, presentations, and telephone calls. All internal staff members at Employ are trained to make suggestions for driver wellbeing to ensure our drivers are on time, happy, and accident-free.

  1. Transport Managers CPC qualification

As a logistics specialist recruitment agency, we believe it is important that our staff have the knowledge required to ensure 100% compliant shift coverage. This is why we have invested in the training. Our Managing Director, Operations Director, and Senior Recruitment Consultant all have their Transport Managers CPC, and some of our recruitment team are currently working towards the qualification to ensure more than 50% of staff hold this certification.

  1. Developing software to manage driver laws and regulations

We believe that software is the future of recruitment and Employ have been at the heart of developing a recruitment management software specifically for HGV driving – DRS. The software uses algorithms to fully manage Working Time Directive, EU Drivers’ Hours, Conduct Regulations, Agency Workers Regulations, IR35, and licence criteria with 100% accuracy to ensure we never place a non-compliant driver.

  1. Driver Agency Excellence

Employ Recruitment are proud to be part of the Agency Excellence Scheme with Logistics UK. The scheme is a voluntary initiative which has been developed alongside driver agencies and operators. It aims to recognise, encourage, and promote good practice within the sector. You can find out more about what it means to use an accredited agency here.

  1. The Managing Director is a member of the DAAS Governance Group

Sadie Weston, Managing Director of Employ Recruitment is also a member of the Driver Agency Accreditation Scheme’s Governance Group. This ensures Employ are always in the know and continually improving practices to ensure 100% compliance at all times.
